Best viewed large, and check out the claws below on the juvenile--sort of cool I think!
Today was one of those days I needed to get outside and get my camera back in manual--and what better time than the Golden Hour? There was sun here! I took a long walk, explored so many spider webs and honestly, I had so many great shots I was proud of--I can't say that I have felt this way in a long time.
It was a hard parenting day for me today, so when I saw this mom and youngster in the berry trees, I was thrilled to try to catch their interaction. I'm shocked that Mockingbirds feed their young so much when they look old enough to handle things on their own. It was a bit of a lesson to me that it's ok to be there for my teen when she may seem to be old enough to do things on her own. Yeah, maybe too deep.
I was truly CHUFFED to get this shot. I hope you like it too. And pardon that I'll be posting too many shots from today's photo shoot. It was just so good to have light, bugs, and action!
@grammyn Thanks Katy. It was just one of those "I sorta suck at this" days. I can't win em all. :) I loved my birds. It was so helpful to get out walk, and capture nature.
What a lovely interaction you captured! Nature at it's best! It makes me wonder why being the Mom of adult boys doesn't come easy, sure doesn't come to me naturally!
Fab shot! It's a great feeling when everything comes together and all your shots turn out better than expected, isn't it? It comes and goes, so enjoy your "phojo" while you have it!
Parenting isn't easy for anyone especially the first time around.
