Today, our two middle school bands played their performance pieces for a competition in Tampa Florida, and we finally got to go to Busch Gardens to enjoy a day of roller coasters, and animal habitats (honestly, it's just weird combining the two), but there were these glorious flamingos! This shot, if taken originally, was pretty "meh" but I worked with it in LR5 to make it feel mysterious, and magical. Part of my May Madness.
Oh, and our bands? First place in each of their divisions, and our Symphonic Band 1 won GRAND CHAMPION! That's my daughter's band. It was so fun to win and win big.
Another year as chaperone for this awesome band. Another year I am beat dead tired. So off to bed. This is a bucket list shot for me. I love these birds. So I'm mad in love. In May...
I'm sure you'll make the PP or the TT. Outstanding, even when you are exhausted! Traveling with the bad is so rewarding...and so much work! Congrats for the accomplishment. Glad you got to go to BG.

@nanderson Thanks so much Nancy. I was so upset this day because I had to use a Canon Waterproof camera (my daughter's) to take this shot (it was raining at the amusement park). I do like this shot for what I was able to do, but I know that if I had had my "real" camera with the zoom, the image with the processing would have been a fav of mine. I don't think we have those flamingos here, but I may check out my local zoo to see if I can do it again somehow! Thanks so much for your comment. I feel so much more confident this year--you are very kind. :)
