Took my dad out to lunch for his birthday today. It was an interesting restaurant where you can watch planes come and go at a local airport (small planes mostly). It also pays homage to WWI and WWII history--It's pretty nice, but it has all of this interesting paraphernalia and the restroom is called the "Latrine" but the rest of the establishment is sort of fancy. Very interesting mix. I had a delicious salmon filet with collard greens. Yum.
Lunch was the best part of my day, and I did think about taking a shot for a "food in Sept." theme, but after lunch, Dad and I went for a walk in the community garden where he lives. Awhile back, I had helped him clear the plot as it was overgrown with weeds. Here is what we did then: http://365project.org/darylo/didn-t-make-cut/2014-03-20
After touring his garden (and boy what a difference), I decided to take a shot of a rose in a garden plot near my father's own I cropped it and thought it would make a lovely color display.
