Oh, GAWD, this is so difficult to post. I may just reallllllly regret it. Photo taken with my phone as a thought for a selfie "concept" this morning before a difficult meeting I knew I was going to have for a good portion of the day, but here I am posting a self-portrait that is so much more personal than my meeting and it's risky and good lord what am I thinking? I never had a chance to execute a self portrait with full control--my phone just held the conceptual elements. As time prevented another series of shots with a real camera and tripod, I edited the bejesus out of this phone shot in LR5 to give an effect of regret, light and darkness, a shoulder strap down, and my face covered, but the point is I'm just the model in the photo. It's not me but me being a subject.
I'm a bit shocked at the fact that this may be my last ONS series before I finish my 2nd year. So the risk was worth it. Here's hoping I get the least views and comments ever. Just move along! :)
Heehee! I'm guessing that you will have more views of this than anything else, just because you are hoping for the opposite. But I do love it -- very dramatic and evocative, which is what photography should be. Congrats on overcoming reluctance to do selfies and succeeding in a big way!
We both did it. I can't believe I posted mine. I am not hooked and hope not to be challenged again. You leaving after 2 years? Hope not. This is great . Fab processing.
hahaha PP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
honestly this is a wonderful shot... tells a great story, and you have to leave that up to the beholder, once its up there you have no control over it lol
I think this is a great shot, love it in black and white and it really tells a story and has the viewer asking questions. The shot really conveys a sense of regret - well, it is a one night stand:)
@kali66 haha, no offense. Would not like to have much more circulation than I've already "solicited" -- will think on it. You are too kind on the praise. This is a phone shot worked over and over by LR. You'd think I have no wrinkles and such. HAHA.
@pflaume So nice to hear from you. Thanks for all of your comments. Wondering if after I finish this second year, I could join your photography group for feedback and critique (both ways, of course). I can't keep up this 365 pace, but I want to stay connected too.
