Backyard Project (Back to Phase I Area)

Phase I has plants in it (although the edging will mostly be replaced at some point--the wood there is rotting). The girls have been chomping at the bit to buy their own flowers and install them. I wanted a good number of perennials and some annuals to mix in, and we also bought herbs to go in pots (rosemary, two varieties of basil, sage) and one yellow pepper plant for a pot. We amended the soil some (red clay...ugh). This gives an idea of the colors and varieties the girls picked out at the store--all their choices! It's getting unbearably hot to work in the garden and it's miserably humid. I'm a soaking wet mess after just 45 minutes. But it's pretty!
Very pretty work done to your backyard. It gives so much pleasure to see the plan accomplished.

I hope we get to see an "after" photo....that is, after the flowers have grown and filled in:)

Beautiful, colorful garden! I have about half of my flowers planted, but between heat and rain storms, I'm not sure when I will finish!
