Mine birding skills are limited to the feeders, which I no longer have with the explosion in the barn cat population. Just before I saw this I was looking out the window and saw a group of starlings swooping around. They blasted through the windbreak and a hawk fluttered to the ground all awry. Wrong lens. Too far away. By the time I got lenses changed he's recovered his equilibrium and was gone. I've never seen starlings do that. I'm not sure he had either!
@grammyn he flew toward the pond where I took my drain shot the day before. We know hawks are, there pretty regularly now so I hope to get there more often. Just a quick walk from home. Aidan goes to that school!
