Smoky Mountains Day 4 -- Moody by darylo

Smoky Mountains Day 4 -- Moody

Behind! What's new? But I'm trying to post my tree shots so you can see what Taffy, Junko, and I were doing while waiting in bumper-to-bumper traffic at Cade's Cove (a 9 mile one-way loop in the Smoky Mountains, but in the valley area--supposedly, wild life runs amuck there--just not when the whole world is there--duh!).

The time together, though, was still amazing--we did roll up the windows, recycled the interior air and used the air conditioning because the "fresh air" was really going to kill us with all those gas fumes!

Thinking of using this for a "tree" theme for our photography club. Got good news last night also! My "Enter Here" photo won first place and I got $60! Woohoo!

Check out Junko and Taffy's trees!

I like the composition and edit a lot here

Love the textures in the grass, the bare tree limbs and looming sky... you are near where I grew up... lots of dates to Cades Cove in the 1970's and 80's!

Oh, I liked the New Found Gap road it started out bumper to bumper but let up shortly into the trip. It was busy but we got to pull into most of the overlooks that we wanted to.

I could barely stomach the Cades Cove drive back in June, there's no way I would have had the patience for it when y'all were there! I didn't even bother going down there last month for that reason, although I'm sure it would've been gorgeous with the colors. Really like this tree, so I think it was worth your time for sure!

Love how we all saw the same trees, yet we captured them and processed them all so differently! Yours has such a realistic feel to it. I like how you got the background ground line to echo the smoky mountain tops we saw!

I like the grasses and then the swirls of the clouds. Very pretty.

Yes, I saw some of the other's photos! This looks nice and fresh - plenty of green grass means there is oxygen somewhere!

Interesting as ours are quite similar but processed differently. I like the textures in yours and the details in the grasses.

Loving seeing what the three of you did at similar moments in time. Nice capture Daryl!
