City Hall Fountain--ONS10-Motion Photography

Wow, today, I started in Mexico (my husband told me that technically when we go to the Consulate in Atlanta, we are entering the country--so we've been there four times in 2 years--next time, there better be a playa). Then I went to get something called an Apostille. Then I had a kitchen renovation consultation. Then I went to lunch with a dear friend to celebrate her birthday (late). Then I went to pick up my daughter and 5 of her friends to get them to McDonald's so they could study about 5 hours for an AP World History exam (note that a lady was so impressed with four of them still there by 8pm that she bought them all ice creams--wow).

When I got home after dropping them off, I set about preparing for a family visitation and wake of a best friend's mother who passed away. But I noticed that my car was smelling funny--a burning rubber smell I remember in TN--except I thought that was the tires from spinning on the very, very steep driveway--nope, well, not sure about there, but my radiator coolant was leaking, and was pretty depleted--could have been slow leaking all this time. Anyway, this little snag put a dent in my timing for departure.

I kept thinking I would leave, and then an hour later, another hour later, another hour later--it was crazy. I couldn't get out of the house. I finally leftto be there for the final half-hour of the wake. I texted my friend to let her know I'd be there late (it was an hour away). 5 miles away from my destination, she texts me: "Hey! Visitation was last night and funeral today! Hope you're not on the way."

OOOOOHHHH NOOOOOOO.

There was nothing to do but call my friend, apologize for missing the visitation AND the funeral. Fortunately we had a long talk while my engine purred in a bank parking lot where I pulled over to talk.

As I went home, I stopped at a Kohl's to get some jeans to go with some boots I bought recently (knee high--woohoo). Before I had left for the visitation, I decided that I was going to put ALL photography gear in the car. I HAD to get on with ONS10. I love One Night Stands.

But what the heck was I going to find moving that was possible at night? Water. Where is water? In the town of Alpharetta. Usually the water is lit up at night with colors. Nope.

So folks, I'm beat. But I'm not down. Here is a motion photo. I've got two. One is slow motion the other fast. Here is the other: http://365project.org/darylo/didn-t-make-cut/2015-11-12

Some day you eat the bear other days the bear eats you. Seems like you got eaten today.

What a day! Echoing what I said yesterday, but heaven alone knows how you manage!! Both shots are fab for motion, but I prefer this one. It's more gentle - the other feels hectic (as your day was!) - and I'm looking for gentleness in my life ;)
