I'm glad to see you weren't there all by yourself. It's nice to have the support of family. It also looks like things are probably going as well as can be expected which I'm very grateful for. A fabulous collage showing a day in the lifeā¦
@888rachel we are on night three. The infection is starting to show signs of retreat! She is in good spirits too, and I have really admired her ability to roll with this. Fingers crossed we get to leave tomorrow and if not, the day after. It's all concentrated in the foot.
@jamibann Oh this has been a terror, but the swelling is receding and the red is pink now. She never had a fever--that was very fortunate. Just wish the camp she attended did not allow bruised, bloody, blistered athletes (her at the time) to "soak" in the creek after a big run and fall. I will never look at natural waters in the same way I used to ever again. And that makes me sad. But I'm thrilled to see her coming out on the other side (and that I can actually see an ankle now). :)
@stimuloog She's recovered! It was a huge scare, but it looks like her ankle will be normal and the infection gone. Thanks so much for checking in. I have been so busy trying to get everything caught up! xoxo
