Latest update: I am scheduled for caudal epidural steroid injections. These will hopefully relieve what my Dr. suspects a combination of nerve and muscular inflammations. He's said some big terms like facets, medial branch, yadayadayada.
The bad news: first available appointment is Nov. 8th. One month away. I could have an appt next week if my insurance would cover same Dr. at his other clinic, but NO.
Good news: I cooked my first meal today--a japanese curry with meat, potatoes, carrots, and broccoli. Each phase of making it meant I took a break to find a position of comfort (PoC).
Pictured here is my latest PoC. My legs are almost froglike in the reclining chair. My daughter says it looks awful. But no pain there. So. There.
Here's hoping within a month, this whole thing is gone. this photo is a bit creepy. It's all I got.
Oh, dear - catching up over the last few days and I am not seeing a speedy recovery. :(. I like the POV and the blue tones, which seem appropriate for your blues. I hate the sound of injections. Hope things improve for you during this stressful college application time.
@rosiekerr not speedy. I had my first day of work yesterday. All three Early admit apps are in. I got FAFSA done. The Princeton Financial App opened for us today, and the CSS profile is almost done. Doing it all in fits amd spurts while I try to manage pain. I'm a mess.
You still maintain your sense of humour and enthusiasm, I see. I hope you get some real relief soon, but so glad you're making some progress, albeit slow. xx
While reading your narrative and response to Rosie I was terribly impressed with all you are accomplishing in spite of your ordeal. Glad to know you were able to get through teaching and all that paperwork. If you have to do it in fits and spurts at least you're getting it done. I'm exhausted just reading about it I don't know how you managed to accomplish it all.
This is an interesting position and an interesting photo and POV But only someone who has not experienced it can argue with the POC!
