Photo Cred to my brother and his cell phone! We spent Christmas Eve with my brother, his family, my sister-in-law's family, my mom, and my mom's friends (family). Afterwards, we popped by to see my father who was feverish and with a collapsed lung. But today, he's much improved thankfully.
We had a lovely morning, waking at the awful hour of 6:30am (I had to negotiate that time with my TEENS, who still love our Santa routine and have been known to wake me at 4am in the past). But I enjoyed the gift exchange time, witnessing great choices I made for what they might like this year. I received a cheese cutter and a book by Michelle Obama's photographer--can't wait to read. I also received some anti aging anti wrinkle cream (my oldest--ha).
Ended the day with a meal I planned to have with my mother with us, but she was not well either. So hopefully she had something soothing and got to bed early to rest. We enjoyed a dish I made with roasted cauliflower and brussel sprouts topped with crisped prosciutto. Steaks and salmon too. And a glass of red wine in my new glass etched with "Badass and Beautiful," a gag gift from my friend (Thelma--I'm Louise).
