Mourning Doves are in love in the backyard -- it's bird soap opera time. I love how doves blend in with the ground (our Georgia red clay is a bit out of the "color range," though). This dove also was a contortionist at various points (one photo not in focus would have been great...ah, all the wouldabeens I have!).
This is just so pretty, and the focus on the feathers is wonderful, in fact you could have cropped it a little more so that we could enjoy the shot just that little bit extra....in my opinion!
