Fragile World by darylo

Fragile World

This is SOOC. Sad Obsessed Ornithology Cameraperson AND Straight Out Of Camera. :(

I'm a bit depressed after such a photographic day with birds and flowers (well, trees really), and I thought I'd share this sad news: one of the Robin eggs descended and cracked, so we have gone from 3 eggs to 2. I have been trying to capture Mama Robin on the nest, but it's behind the bushes and I don't want to disturb her. I'm going to really keep my distance.

I love my natural world outdoors, and I like the miracle of eggs in nests and flowers blooming and squirrels digging; I'm realizing that the world is fragile and difficult to navigate. I mourn the losses.
Aw. Sad to see.

So sorry Daryl. It seems the rejoicing and heartbreak go hand and hand once you become an observer of the natural world around us. Lovely shot.

What a bright blue. Sad about the egg, but hope the two which are left do hatch. Look forward to that.

@judis Yeah, I'm like a mother hen going around the house trying to scare off cats, snakes, and other predators--
