In my main album, I took this same squirrel's photo yesterday http://365project.org/darylo/365/2014-02-01 (notice the wound on his ear). He was digging in the dirt today too. Cheeky chap.
Poor little chap -- his nose looks a little odd, too. I wonder what he tangled with -- the wicked cat next-door is dying to catch a squirrel but no matter how hard she tries, they escape. Maybe this one wasn't as lucky.
@catwoman2 His nose is muddy from digging! And he has a chunk out of his tale too. I might get a piece of him too if he doesn't stop hogging the bird feed. ;)
Great capture! I have 4 little squirrels I that visit my yard. If one gets to the food first, he'll run the others off! Maybe he got into it with one his own!
