See that coffee press on the top left? How I missed it! I bought a small Keurig for the renovation, but I am not a big fan of the machines (for the cost and waste). I have to thank my little Keurig, though, for getting me through the month+ of time I have been without cooking devices (I know, first world problems--I'm fully aware of how stupid I have been sounding over the past month).
And while I plan on keeping the Keurig for when I need a quick cup, I'm going back to French press life. Still have no kettle (haven't since our kitchen fire a year ago), but a pot boils the same!
My eat-in kitchen area has the new black circular table (and I stained my chairs black to match). On the wall (not pictured) is one of my bw photos framed. It is the first time I have really placed my photography in a room with purpose--that felt good! It completes the room too.
This is my breakfast. A half-pita toasted on the cast-iron pan, with a fried egg, spinach and tomatoes.
YUM This reminds me of the delicious breakfasts you prepared for us! What a nice way to celebrate cooking in your new space. beautifully brilliant colors.
You have been so inspired by your beautiful new kitchen. It is really pushing you to some beautiful photography. Fabulous colors and composition in this one!
@jgpittenger Ok, now you have to come! And now that I think of it, I am hoping you, Taffy, and Junko can do a fall trip to Smoky Mountains like last time (Bruce went to the Summit and we had our own "Summit"). Oh, good times!
