Once again my apologies for the multiple uploads and the lack of commenting. We went to Leeds today and took photo's around the Brewery Wharfe area of the city which includes the Royal Armouries, this bridge spans the river and has become a 'love bridge' which I'd never heard of until today. Here's one of the tokens of love..an updated version of the carving in the tree bark or on the park bench I suppose.
i really like how you've composed this - with a clear view of the river and the angle of the buildings on the bank... i think it's called the "love lock" bridge? it's shown in a movie i think? and one of my kids had heard of it from a friend at school...
Nice picture I first saw these in Paris on the bridge near Notre Dame, lovers were inspired by the hunchback & Esmeralds story but the authority's keep removing them as they keep filling the bridge but i have seen them on a few bridges now throughout Europe - the lovers supposedly through the keys to the locks in the river sealing their love forever !
