Tonight I'm just thoroughly depressed, what was so simple last time, to make a collage totally defeats me tonight and I know it's my inability to grasp basic numbers and layers that lets me down, but there's no way I can sort that, just have to make collages in my phone. So here instead is a photo I took today on my way into town, an amazing stormy sky.
Great composition Deni. I know what you mean about problems with collages. There are some free packages on line which are quite straightforward and don't involve all that numbers and layers stuff in Photoshop!
@paulaw thank you so much, I was diagnosed as Dyscalculia at work, which explains a lot about my lifelong inability to process numerical information, gets me down sometimes though....will look out for the packages though all I found recently were paying ones for tshirts and the like.
I'm not at my main computer atm where I have the name of the package but I will check tomorrow and let you know. All you have to do is drag the pics into it and there is minimal fiddling about from what I remember!
I love the stormy sky. Lovely mood of light and shadow. I don't think I'll ever master layers and masks. Not sure I want to spend the time even a basic understanding of the process might give me.
I looked up dyscalculia and I must have it too -- it explains so much. Even my inability to figure out a map I turn it to match the direction I'm going. Right and left figures into it as well. My right is usually everyone else's left. Also explains why I absolutely cannot get the relationship between F stop, shutter speed, and depth of field --it looks like I can forget layers. Too many numbers make my poor brain spin.
@catwoman2 thank you or your support, I had a test at work because they expected me to do the banking ad I didn't feel confident enough to do it. I have never been able to 'do' maths and never enjoyed card games or scrabble, which I was fine with spelling but couldn't add up the numerical score in my head. Sometimes numbers such as 2&5 transpose on me, very like letters for dyslexia. Also I was tested for co-ordination,which was poor, the only way I can tell right from left is to remember which hand I write with!
