Today would have been my dad's 88th birthday. Here he is, centre with his brothers, Stan on right facing, and Noel on the left. Taken in 1946, dad would have been 18 and a year into his National Service, Stan would be about to join him age 17 and poor Noel age 15 looks a bit fed up being the only brother still at home, he went on to a career in the fire service. Sadly my dad died 11 yrs ago, and Noel in 2012, but Stan is still with us and though a little forgetful will be 87 this year.
