This is a lovely wee cafe in a tiny town called Patumahoe NZ. @golftragic had a shot of a butcher's shop in Australia that was abandoned, so it is good to see this one as a thriving business. It is a nice place to meet, as the seating area is well away from the noisy coffee machine! There is usually a vintage looking bike leaning on the pole outside, but just as I arrived to take the photo, the shop was closing, lights all off and the bike being wheeled around to be put safely away...
This one's for you Marnie @golftragic It is the shop I mentioned the other day when you put up a shot of the derelict butcher's shop. I am sure we can find a golf course nearby if you want to fly across the ditch and catch up with our local 365 cluster sometime for a coffee…...
Great capture and nice to know a shop is enterprising enough to keep in business. Funny thing is our butcher has done an identical thing with his shop too, turning it into a meet and greet after you have shopped there!
@dide I made my preceding comment before yours to me, sorry. I'd love to take you up on that thought. We're going to the South Island next March (another golfing trip) so not likely to be in your neck of the woods for 12 months or more, maybe 2016. If you want to 'talk' anytime, my email is mhaigmuir@gmail.com so if you email me we'll have a line of communication off the site.
Dianne, I have been enjoying your beautiful photography and especially enjoying the action shots. The Butcher's Shop Cafe looks like a place I would enjoy stopping by with a friend.
