We had a lovely day today, watching our adult 'kids' and their partners playing sport. Jesse ran the 'Sand to Mud' - a Lion's Club fundraiser that has been held for 40 years - it is a tough 8km from the coast to the harbour. The first 2 km is steeply uphill! He came 17th - very respectable since he has been unwell. Jodi and Kate had soccer - Jodi is a terrific fullback, helping to save their team from having too many goals scored against them. Kate had her first ever game of soccer today and helped set up the two goals by some great passing. She was named player of the day, so is off to a great start. Josh had his first game of club hockey for the season, and played a great game at fullback - they had a good win. We watched all these 'winter' sports in shorts and jandals - it's still pretty warm and very humid.
Well done to them all.. Jesse did very well considering he has been so crook.. could you not get a front on shot of Josh?.. and well done to the girls.. far too hot to be thinking about winter sports yet ,, but two Granddaughters had their first Netball games yesterday .
Great sporting family!!! Where was the hockey played? We were in Hamilton yesterday for Freya's club game and Ellis is down there today (Sunday) - so hockey, hockey hockey until Sept!!!
