Tasman Sea by dide

Tasman Sea

This part of the coastline is about 20 minutes drive from our place. It is interesting (from a photographer's point of view) as there are lots of rocks for the water to swirl around. The coastline about 3 minutes from our place hasn't the same rocky terrain.
All the different textures and layers make for a very interesting b&w.

Quite an intimidating look to this sea photo Dianne! I'm not a great lover of the sea as it scares me specially looking like this! I know you have some stunning coastline but your sea is always quite active!

Love the b&w processing choice, the smooth rocks and the contrast of textures between rock and sea.

Looks wonderfully wild Dianne. I do like this shot in b&w. Have you been affected by the earthquakes?

@golftragic we are in the top third of the North Island and felt the big quake in the night but no damage. Unlike the poor folk on the South Island east coast and now some damaged buildings in Wellington need to be taken down.
