Waitangi Falls

NZ caught the tail end of Cylone Debbie this week and we've had heaps of rain. This waterfall was raging this afternoon, but had subsided lots from earlier in the day. In the video I saw from this morning, the wee cabbage tree in left third of image was almost submerged! See @julzmaioro for other images and a link to the waterfall's usual flow.
So much rain and flood, too wet to go out.

Debbie has been a bloody big pest. Even you Kiwis are getting a taste of it.

We're at the mercy of the elements.

Debbie was a wild one, wasn't she? We need water but it is always a problem when we get too much, too fast.

This looks impressive but you will. E ready fir the sun to come out again! Making lots of power with all this water force!

The image captures the scene so well, that one can almost imagine one can hear the roar of the water.

...Meanwhile, in NW France we're in drought. Carwashing, cleaning terraces etc. all forbidden until further notice.

The cyclone has been dreadful and the loss of life appalling. Lovely image of that ragging river.

Oh golly whizz, I read in the paper about how Debbie had hit Auckland, hope you're OK. Parts of Queensland are devastated, both urban and rural.
