The campsite

This is our campsite at Awhitu Regional Park. It is so nice to have lots of space. As it worked out, most of the time there were only four of us - all females. We are very efficient at setting up tents and packing up without any assistance.
Wonderful learning adventure and lots of fun memories.

Great fun camping, you must have had fun. Ant & zoo & the kids have been with other families camping at Ohiwa Holiday Park near Whakatane this weekend.

@golftragic yes - I was ‘people watching’ the campers across the way. The 10 and 8 year old boys were not expected to help and the grandmother ( my age) didn’t seem to do anything to help! So important to role model to my wee niece that we can manage these things.

@dide Absolutely right, helpless females get right up my nose. And, as you say, the role model thing is vitally important. My daughter Robin and her two daughters are into horses bigtime, and Rob's been very firm with them re caring for their own horse/s, starting with little things when they were little and so on to the point they're responsible for everything bar shoeing.
