We passed though a little hydro town yesterday as we tiki toured around. There is a dam here on the Waikato River and I have included images of the powerhouse. If you look carefully at the top of the left image, you can see how high the swing bridge was! The bridge was build in 1925 so workers could get from the town to the powerhouse - much quicker than the longer road trip.

@golftragic no - North Island - on the Waikato River that runs from Lake Taupo to reach the coast just south of where I live and close to where @julzmaioro lives.
