We had a lovely calm evening here, with beautiful lighting over to the east. I thought I had better take a photo of the maize crop, as it will be harvested in a couple of days. The 6 ducks in the paddock will be pleased to be able to help clean up any dropped kernels.
Maize is grown in the field opposite Vignouse. It's a pleasure and a privilege to see it sown and almost grow day by day until it forms a swaying green mass of robust stalks with cobs. The harvesting thereof is a feat of community fellowship between local farmers helping one another whilst the weather holds.
