Clay target shooting

The other day, Chook and Jesse had a lovely time at Te Kuiti at a clay target shoot. Clay target shooting is a popular sport in NZ. It requires discipline and quick reactions. The round disc shaped targets come out of the dispenser at a great rate of knots - so quickly that I had trouble seeing them! They both did well and Jesse won his division.

Sporting clays are very popular here as well. Every gun club has at least one clay course. This is a great collage of Jesse and Chook.

We have a clay target area here in town, too, run by our local gun club. It does look quite fascinating
