Tui are lovely nectar eating birds and are important for pollination. They sing beautifully and are always first to start singing for the dawn chorus. They are also usually the last bird to stop singing before bed and can be heard right on dark. They look black when they are flying about the place, but actually have really nice blue and green hues when the light is right.
@maggiemae Well thanks - we both belong to the same camera club and the set topic for November is 'birds'. We both compete in the same grade and I think she is so far ahead of me this year that I will not be able to catch her. It is fun, with friendly rivalry and Julz is a terrific photographer. @julzmaioro
