Last night's spectacular sunset. It may have been this gorgeous colour because of the smoke in the air from the Whangamarino wetland fire (on peat swamp) about an hour south of here. This is the view from the front lawn. The two wind turbines out on the west coast can be seen too.
It is sad that some of the best sunsets happen as a result of bushfires
