I love the country! I consider myself so fortunate to live in an area that is surrounded by beautiful countryside. I think people sometimes take things like this for granted. This photo was taken during my drive to work. I have so many favorite spots, but I thought you might enjoy seeing a bit of our countryside. This is a plush green field of corn. We have had a good year, not too wet, and thank goodness no dry spell, yet. We should have a pretty good crop. I love the wide open areas. Hope you enjoy.
Wow. I've always wondered what it would be like to have a place to retreat like that. I get a little glimpse through your descriptions and images. Thanks.
This actually brought tears to my eyes, I'm a born and bred country girl and would return if at all possible, I don't cope with city, suburbia lifestyle very well.
That makes a lovely picture! Soon, that farmhouse will be swallowed up by the corn field! I'll bet you've got some nice farmer's markets to go with that region! I can see why you love it...
To Rick Schies >> thank you , i feel better....yes its a good place to get away ( the place is munnar, kerala, india)
And this shot of yours is beautiful...its as beautiful as John Denvers songs: )...country roads take me home to the place i belong..!!
Gorgeous green!! I think you are right - we take so many beautiful things for granted, especially the ones we see everyday... Life is so much better when you appreciate what you've got! :-)
I love the country too... its just so peaceful and beautiful. This is a great shot. It reminds me of one time when my sister Amanda and I were in the car with our father and he took one of his "shortcuts" and we drove past the same field of corn about 5 times hehe.
Lancaster County and surrounding areas has the very best farm land.
My husband & I are coming to Lancaster County for a visit this week-end to celebrate my birthday.
This is a lovely shot - love fields of crops (even when they plant them over our footpaths grrrr without leaving us a space to walk through) and the houses in the background make it. Yes you are lucky - I'm a city girl, born and bred, and would love to live in the country - although I know it would be a wrench - there's something about the city too ....
