I love to photograph certain trees, especially some of the odd shaped ones. This morning I took advantage of the beautiful weather and went for a nice drive and then stopped at one of my favorite spots to take photos called Middle Creek Wildlife Preserve. It is a beautiful place to walk around and enjoy the wide open country. I was walking around and looked up through the trees, and loved the patterns I saw against the bright sky. When I arrived back home and uploaded my photos onto my computer, I was pleased with this one in particular. It is nothing spectacular, but it gives one the appearance of leaves reflected in water. The one tree and its leaf pattern gave it a rippling effect making it look like a water reflection.
I thought this was a water reflection. Then I read what you wrote and saw that it wasn't. Wow, you captured that ripple effect nicely. I love trees also.
Beautiful trees and leaves -- agree with you and the others that it looks like a "reflection".
Trees are truly interesting creations -- whether its their leaves, bark, wood, blossoms, fruit or shadows -- they are awesome.
In the past my son has often given me trees for my birthday or Mother's Day or other special occassion because he knew I would like a tree better than jewelery or other trinket.
You have to look up, down, under, around...EVERYTHING...once you start this project...you don't want to miss a thing! Glad you didn't miss this one it's great!
Beautiful presentation Rick. I saw the thumbnail photo and thought oh water reflection . hahah Then opening and reading the caption by your I was smiling so much to see that you almost last sentence, was in the same vein. A couple of your followers thought the same. I felt so good about this especially the beautiful Green leaves.
The angles of the branches mixed with the shape of the leaves makes a great effect. Good looking out- you really took a seemingly simple image and made something spectacular out of it.
