"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)
On the way home from work today I stopped by the cemetary to visit my Mother's graveside. Nearby was this statue, and immediately I thought of God's peace, and how we have unlimited access to Him through prayer. His lines of communication are never down, and no matter what we do, His love is unconditional. To me that offers a great sense of peace to my heart.
This is wonderful, Rick. The only real peace I know is the peace that comes from the Lord and I can't find anything in this world that expresses that peace... Been a hard theme.
Thanks for the tree suggestion - I did add it to the peace theme :-]
I love the framing, and the picture, but most of all the verse.
Can I bore you with why? In 2003 I had a brain tumour, and there was one monthe between finding it and having surgery. During that time I knew a peace from God that was truly beyond any understanding. It was so real you could almost touch it. I can testify 100% to that verse.
Beautiful shot with a beautiful sentiment. He is always willing to listen, no matter time of day or what we have to say. And He will take our burdens away. Beautiful.
I love the editing and I love love love the frame!!!
great capture.
