Got home from work, took my Son to work and then decided to stop at one of my favorite spots to go for a walk. There was a nice cool breeze blowing, leaves were starting to accumulate on the ground, and I noticed that on the little pond at the end of the trail, the water was still. Not much movement due to the lack of rain, and the leaves are beginning to cover the water too. I played with the histogram a bit, changed the tones, and I was pleased at the final result. I like the depth that I was able to capture inthsi photo. Fall is definitely on its way, and I am looking forward to capturing the wonderful colors that will soon be highlighting the area.
I like all the effects you did to achieve this photo -- it is very intriguing. We have lots of leaves falling -- from the dry weather like you said. Autumn is certainly on its way. I look forward to the marvelous autumn photos that I am sure you will be posting.
rick, another beautiful shot. i love the composition and the light. it is just gorgeous.
re your comment--the football game ended in an 8-8 tie. the boys were disappointed they weren't able to play OT.
and as for brock, he simply has not had time to upload lately. he's still taken some pictures, but with homework and activities, we will have to wait for the weekend to play on 365! i told him you asked about him, and it made him feel so good. he's been concerned that he hasn't been able to post lately!
Thanks Rick. Its my new head band, and the colors and loops really grabbed me.. And I must say Rick another wonderful shot from you.. could throw in a line and just wait .
ah this is such a lovely scene, I really do miss the Autumn as I am from England and living in the Arabian Gulf region where it is either very hot, hot, or humid hot... re: my pic It is in The Arabian Gulf. Oman, a beautiful country and the people are very warm and friendly.
Beautiful Rick! Really such a great photo. I love the depth, the soft earthy tones here. I like the purple-ish clouds reflecting purple off the leaves in the pong. GREAT shot!
The processing is really different. Love how those pieces of blue sky really stand out. You're right about the depth. It's beautiful and I am so looking forward to Fall. It's my favorite time of year even if it does lead to my least favorite time of year.
