On my way to work this morning I spotted this beauty standing underneath this clump of trees. It had been snowing and sleeting, and it looked like the trees provided a bit of shelter from the storm. When I came to a stop along the road, she stopped and looked up at me, affording me a nice shot.
Nice shot. Lucky that you can stop to take photos. So often when I am driving I see something I would like to capture but no place to pull over and too much traffic.
Don't they get cold standing out there like that? I like the look of the seemingly black and white, and then the horse is a splash of color. Nice framing, too.
She adds a bit of pretty color! I always feel sorry for horses that are out in storms! I know they are ok with it and it makes their lungs strong but still.....Mine got to come in when it was this bad.
Such a gorgeous animal and she stands out so beautifully against the dark tree silhouettes! Great capture and your presentation is impeccable as always! :)
Breathtaking Rick, and so is the Spring IS Coming-Egypt. Exciting stuff isn't it! Who would have thought.
You love poetry and such, and Rachel has a lovely poem on her Jan. 31 365P that I thought you might enjoy. http://365project.org/locavorerachel/365/2011-01-31
Rick! You're nature shots, I personally feel, are your best subjects to shoot! Great capture all around! The repetition of the trees in the background but the variation in size makes this shot more interesting. Great subject to shoot too!
