Many people think a snake feels slimy. Perhaps your personal fear allows your mind to be convinced that this is true. In reality they are not. Their skin is cool, but dry. Also, this is not really a snake. It is the cover of a light that is mounted on the underside of a shelf above my desk at work. When I uploaded it onto my computer when I got home, I thought it looked like a snake. Hope you have a good night.
Sorry, I had to re-upload. For some reason I was not able to view the thumbnail when I enlarged it. So for those who had already commented on it, thank you.
Umm ... Looking at the tiny thumbnail on the homepage on my phone screen, I thought it was fishnet tights or hose on a leg. Lol. The full size view is better for seeing the snake skin image. Nice golden lighting.
You are so funny! Loved the informational lead-in to this picture. You might have fooled me had I not just done research on snakes this afternoon with 4 precocious kindergartners!
whoah.... I have a fear for snakes and you described exactly how I perceive them.... I almost canot even look at the shot.... but i do like the patterns they make....
Definitely not into snakes, so I'm glad it's actually a light cover. It's a good illusion if you don't know any better, and I think the colors make it all the more interesting. Great shot.
HA! When I first saw it I thought "Oh, cool, an air filter" but then started reading the snake bit and was amazed at the size of that snake. Glad it's inanimate.
it sure does look like a snake! I can remember the first time I held a snake....I too believed that they would be slimy little things. BUT, they are actually quite pleasing to touch! Great capture!
I had guessed a light until I started reading your cation, then totally bought into the snake skin ... thinking it must be its belly side, wondering where you got a snake, who was holding it for you ... LOL! a perfect example of how quickly the brain can process! Well done!
This is very cool. It does sort of look like snake skin. I usually tell people that it is cool to the touch and feels more like glass when you pet along the "grain" of the skin. Although, for some people, that still doesn't help. :)
That really looks like a sneak.
