Another beautiful day, even though it did rain this morning. The temperatures rose to the low 60's, and once it stopped raining it was actually really nice out there. Had to go for my EKG, the last item on the list in order to be cleared for my surgery on Thursday. Everything checked out ok, and now it is set to go. When we arrived home, the puppies were more than ready to go outside for their run around the yard, barking, and acting like the little monsters they are. They really go crazy. I noticed how green the grass has become, and it is getting tall. By the week's end, it will need to be mowed. A sure sign that Spring is here. Have a great night.
What a great capture. Love the colours of the leaf in the grass. I was talking about you today. I was with a prayer group and mentioned your upcoming surgery. It's in good hands.
@hellcat Well it's nothing serious, but it is a complete joint replacement for my left thumb. I decided after consulting with an orthopedic surgeon that my best option to stop the constant pain is to have the surgery. If it stops the pain, then it will be worth it.
I am green with envy ! It has been snowing all day up here in NH ~ after such a beautiful day yesterday ! Oh, well...it still was a good day ! Simple things are often the best.
I will keep you in my prayers for Thursday.
I love the greens in this shot. You are a little further South than I. I just got my yard partially uncovered from the snow. We did have a little snow today.
No green grass here yet. Glad to see yours, though. We're going to be away for two weeks, so I'm certain the grass will green and the trees will bud while we're gone. Nice clear photo.
I am just going to comment about the photo, I am so sleepy now, i'll read your post tomorrow.
Nice colors, the leaf on the green just stands out, beautifully done!
Nice composition - like the old with the new - the green with the brown. Rick, if I don't get the chance here's saying hope all will be well with your surgery & you'll be up& about in no time at all to enjoy the spring.
Okay--the joint in your thumb--I remembered that. I read EKG and thought it was something else! I'll be thinking about you on Thursday--everything will be fine, I'm sure
I love the feeling when I come home and the dogs are jumping, barking, and just being happy to see me, isn't that great?
I wish you you are going to do well with your surgery
It's amazing what they can do. I'm glad it's a small joint-- those larger ones have a long recovery time from what I can tell. Will be thinking of you, and praying for a speedy recovery. :)
Beautiful shot....it's amazing to me still how such simple things can turn into such lovely photos. You have a real talent for spotting a photo op when most would walk right by it! Nicely done.
