I know it is almost past, but I wanted to post something special for "me" for Father's Day. In the center is a photo of me. I am on the right center. I am old, but not quite as old as my Dad who is on the left center. Do we favor each other? Upper left is me when I was in college, holding our Son, who at that time was about a year old. Upper center is me along with my Son and Daughter during a little vacation, and upper right, my Son who used to plant himslef on my lap. Now he's 6'2", I'm 5'6". Guess that won't happen again. Bottom center is a photo of me and my Daughter, about three yeas ago, just a few days before she had to leave us. I'm eagerly awaiting one of those hugs again real soon. The bottom left is me reading my special Father's Day card from my Daughter. The botom right is the card. I read it a few times, so proud of what she has been able to overcome and accomplish in the midst of everything she has been through during the past three years. Being a Dad has been a highlight for me, even in spite of the heartaches along the way. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
This is wonderful, Rick, I like all the photos. The one with you holding your son while at college is very cute, as is the one with your daughter with the sunglasses. I'm glad you had a good father's day with further good memories.
Happy Father's Day Rick. I'm always blessed when I see a dad who truly loves being a dad and loves his children. It was fun to see your family, the resemblances and times you've shared together. I especially understand the feeling of the child who once fit in your lap and now stands taller than you. It was a sad day when my younger son surpassed my height! Anyway- may you continue to enjoy the blessings of fatherhood! Great collage.
What a great collage Rick. Photographs are such a wonderful way to remember moments that touch our lives, and to keep our loved ones close, no matter where they may be
What a wonderful tribute to Fatherhood, which is more than a hug and an ice cream cone. You have been there through the good times and the bad and I'm sure your love has been a beacon for your children. You deserved a Day. Heck, take the week!
Such a wonderful collage for "me" you on Father's Day. Nice to meet most of your family. happy belated FD Rick. my daughter and I went up North to where my son and family live to spend a nice relaxing day with Grace and Bruce's dad who also lives in Bobcaygeon. my husband unfortunately had to work and couldn't join us. so today his daughter Debbi and granddaughter Shayelynne will be coming or FD.
Kudos for doing this just for YOU! This is exactly what this project is all about. It's your life and you should be proud of all you've accomplished over the years as well as in the years to come. I got a chuckle of your son and you. These are the type of pictures the permeates our photos. If you've got those and display them proudly you are a pretty darn good dad. That I don't doubt. Happy Father's Day, Rick! :-)
Happy fathers Day Rick I hope the next ne will be even better. Loved the pictures but love the comments better. You are a darn good father and I believe that God made us in His image, and He guides you all the time, but even better still is that you are Listening to Him all the time. In Australia we have Father's Day on first Sunday of September.
Wow, he is tall! My 11-year-old is only an inch shorter than me now, what's with that? This is a really nice collage--I do hope you had a good father's day.
It's the toughest job we've ever had, isn't it?
But I cannot imagine not being my girls' dad!
Take care..
Each one of them special - thanks for sharing.
