Sorry, not too much time today for any special photo. I went back to work today, and then again tomorrow in order to catch up on things as I prepare to be off for the next several days for my Dad's service and other family business. At one point today I had to replace the ink cartridge in my printer, and when I had it open I spotted this little gear, so I grabbed a quick shot for this week's theme shot. Tonight, my Wife and I, along with several other sibblings visited long time friends of the family. During the last several years our Dad spent many evenings visiting with them, and they were like family to him, so yesterday we all decided that we were going to visit with them tonight, as we felt it was important to include them in our grieving process. They are going to miss Dad almost as much as we will. We had a great time talking, crying and sharing memories. My Nephew who was with our Dad at the time of his passing, shared an amazing incident with us tonight, something that he witnessed shortly after the ambulance transported my Dad from the golf course, and he was driving my Dad's vehicle back to his house. I do not mean to keep you in suspense, but I will share the details in another day or so. I will tell you this much, I believe in angels. Hope you have a wonderful night.
Oh, Rick! I cannot wait to hear your angel story. After a tree planting ceremony for my teaching partner who passed away, my 3 year old boy who was barely speaking, looked at the tree solitary tree and said, "Bye bye, Angel." They are everywhere. Take care and I am still praying for you.
Oh Rick, I can't wait to hear the rest of the story and yes, I do believe in Angels. Glad you are all easing up on the grieving process, I know its not that easy. We will continue to pray for you and your family. Great theme shot by the way.
The word for angels in Greek means messenger. There are many times I think God knows we need a message of hope or confirmation of His love and care, but I think we especially need them in times of grief. I'm glad the Lord gave your nephew a message and am looking forward to reading the story- with one of your awesome photos of course!
Rick I didn't see your post yesterday. I am very sorry. It seems like your dad really enjoyed life and you are lucky you have such a close family. I am anxious to hear the rest of your story.
We were always taught that everyone has their own Guardian Angel & I truly believe that , yours will be watching over you ! Looking forward to hearing your next instalment !
There are definitely Angels out there. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. This is a beautiful shot.
Rick, you sound good. Including the friends was a very generous thing to do. Healing for both you and them. I look forward to your next shot as I know it will be filled with joy.
I too will be keeping you in my thoughts & prayers these coming days as you struggle to come to terms with your loss.
I look forward to your story Rick.
Great picture for the theme. I have one too for today's theme quite appropiate unfortunately I must say although it was scarey but I believe in angels as for sure there must have been one when yesterday. I think its nice that you and your family got together with your Dad's friends. At the memorial for my only brother we met a lot of his friends and we all shared our memories.
You are one of God's Messangers Rick, I know in my heart, that is to be true. Thank you for sharing what you did about the friends of your dad, that was a loving gesture that you and yours did for them. May God continue to Bless you abundantly. Oh Yes I too believe in Angels..
I look forward to your story Rick.
