Good Tidings Of Great Joy

"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night...And, lo, the angle of the Lord came upon them...And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of grerat joy, which shall be to all people." (Luke 2:8, 9a, 10)

Another figure from my Father's Nativity scene.
How fortunate you were to have these items from your Dad. The processing on this is beautiful, Rick. Thanks for sharing the real meaning of Christmas.

As I stood in the fields outside of Bethlehem I thought of all the traditional Christmas creches- and even though I know that the shepherds probably looked more like the modern Bedouin, I still love these classical pieces. There's something very reverential about them. What a lovely treasure that you have this Nativity set. Lovely shot- as well as a wonderful Scripture.

Check out my post! http://365project.org/sassyinthecity/365...I'll send you some pics of the kids in their hats soon too! =) Thank you so much, you are all too sweet and tell Kassidy that I LOVE my bracelet and have worn it all day! A little known secret about me is that I love stuff like that with my name on it! My dad even got me Sara barrettes last year and I love them. Guess it reminds me of being a kid and the thrill of finding something with my name on it spelled correctly. =) thank you so much for everything!
