When I think of sound, I think of several examples or variations. This one would be the sound of a blood curdling scream when the scissors makes the final cut on a piece of paper and accidently slips off the end, and snips a little piece of skin on your hand or finger...OUCH!!!!!!! Every happen to you? Oh yeah, that smarts. All of a sudden you are using words you never realized were in your vocabulary.
Ay Yi Yi....that would cause pain and I am opposed to pain but yes, I can hear the sound of my scream if I did ever do this! Paper cuts are bad enough! Cool sound photo!
Ouch! I actually cringed when this photo came up. I hear the swearing for sure. When I was 12 and sewing a teddy bear for my new baby brother, I cut my hand on a pair of scissors just below my thumb and I still have the scar.
What the heck? The picture took me by surprise, lol. And yes, that's happened to me. Another thing that happens is when I'm peeling potatoes and accidentally peel my finger. Yep, that usually gets a yell of pain and some choice words if my kiddos aren't around...
You're a brave man, Rick. "compressions and rarefactions produced in a material medium". According to my physics professor, that's the definition of sound. (Dr. Dunn would be so proud!!!) I can still picture him repeating that sentence over and over.
I mostly get paper cuts...being a school teacher. But they are BAD ones....from file folders...those are the worst! And I cannot resort to the "Words I did not know I knew" thing. Haha
Oooooo, I can feel it AND hear it! Interesting take on the theme this week. I can't wait to see what other people came up with. Nice job on the photo and the description. That always helps. :o)
Thankfully I can say I've never accidentally cut my finger instead of a piece of paper. However, my poor son got his ear clipped when he turned his head while I was giving him a haircut (age 3). I think I would have gladly cut my finger instead. I can't even look at this picture!
