A Place To Call Home

I had to share a closer view of one of the homes I saw yesterday. The hillside was dotted with these magnificent homes. I cannot imagine the upkeep , and the taxes....Wow!

what a mansion!

No doubt!

Oh wow... so much space! (I sometimes wonder if these huge homes are for families who don't really like each other...??)

Beautiful! Is that an antennae over there on the left? You'd think with a home this size they'd have cable or a satellite dish, wouldn't you? I would not want to clean this house - or keep up the yard - or pay the taxes but I suppose if you can buy the house, you can pay people to do all that other stuff, too, right?

Oh my....how nice this is. Great shot Rick.

or the cleaning?? that would kill me.. lol

@cglist You have a good point there Cindy :)

@nana Nancy I thought the very same thing. No cable way out there, but surely a good spot for satelite vs an antanae

Wow. What a spendid house. Nice view of it and the surrounding area.

We have alot of McMansions here, but this is in a world unto itself. Honestly. Houses like this always puzzle me. It seems like the people who live in them could go days without ever seeing each other, and probably need a cell phone just to chat or call the kids to dinner. Then there is the upkeep.

Wow! What a place! Gorgeous!

Wow what a majestic building, Rick. Great comment from Terry, lol. Wouldn't mind staying there for a while all taxes paid up front.

@sarasdadandmom Sorry Terry, If you would have been home I would have asked first. Glad you approved.

oh yes, that would do nicely, thank you :)). Great shot by the way, it's almost as if you took it out of a helicopter.

Not to mention how long it would take to dust and clean bathrooms. :) beautiful but I think I might get lost in a place that big. :) Great photo.

i like the windows and the hillside location, lovely capture! if i were building a house like this, i wouldn't be putting it where you could get such a clear pic of it! lol

Huge. Not sure who needs that much space. But a beautiful photo.

Impressive! Nice clarity in your picture today. Sorry I've not been commenting. I've been away from internet and have only quickly uploaded so I wouldn't get behind. I'm behind anyway, so...forgive me?
posted May 15th, 2012
@carmichaelbev I'll always forgive you, and I bet Rick will, too. We are real happy not to be responsible for cleaning this McMansion, yes? Imagine how many bathrooms there must be!

Ah ... mini mansions or is it a real mansion? I don't like the mini mansions. I've been in a few and the rooms and hallways are really small for the size of the home. One never knows how the inside of a home looks until they go in, eh?
posted May 15th, 2012
Wow! That's a mansion!
posted May 15th, 2012
Beautiful....yes there're a lot of people with homes like these..you see them especially here in rural areas. sure looks beautiful.
posted May 15th, 2012
Too much house cleaning for me! Nice for the room, but I am happy with small and sparse! Ha.
posted May 16th, 2012
WOOOOOOWSA!!! i am not sure how i would feel if i lived in a house this big. I am much simpler and would prefer a smaller cottage house with a wrap around deck and swing :) This is gorgeous tho!!!!! wow.
posted May 16th, 2012
It's the cleaning that scares me. Of course, they might have maid service.
