My communte to work this morning wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. I only made one detour, but as you can see, the fields were saturated with water. We were spared excessive damage compared to some of the other folks along Sandy's wicked path. Thoughts and prayers to all those who sustained property damage, and even the loss of loved ones. Storms like this are always so life changing. Now the clean-up begins.
Rick wonderful collage. I'm glad it wasn't too bad. It hammered New York, but not where I am. We had some wind, very little rain and a power outage of 8 hours. Not so bad all in all.
Another great Sandy collage... thanks for sharing with those of us who live in an area of the country spared by nearly any kind of major weather event. I love my boring weather! :)
I have been watching the news in horror seeing the destruction the storm has created., So glad you are not effected too badly Rick in your area keep safe
Rick I can say the same here. we're the lucky ones..just a bit more wind than usual, not that much rain and besides some dead branches we fared well considering that 47 miles south of here Toronto was hit with the storm, slashing rain, power outages, falling trees and damaged buildings..you name it....maybe not as severe as some others in the path of Sandy like NY or Atlantic City in NJ. so my prayers goes out to all the poeple who were not as fortunate as you and I.
glad you're safe and well. In a way we have to be grateful that these days scientist can predict massive storms like Sandy and the path they will follow. This way a lot of people can prepare or evacuate.
so sad to hear and see things like this. Glad to hear you did not suffer to much damage and my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved as well!! thank you for sharing rick.
