I have been making it a point to light the tree every morning before work, and in the evening as a way to help keep the true Spirit of the season alive in my heart. It has always been a special time for our family to be together, and to be with family means so much to me. As a Parent I am excited about all that has been happening in our household. The kids have pulled their lives together and they have both found new loves for their lives. Many years of prayers are coming to fulfillment as we have longed for them to find that special someone to make their life complete. It has been a good year, and I am thankful for what it all means.
That's a nice custom and one that should be used to celebrate what Christmas means! I think I'll get the lights out of the top shelf in the garage now!
Lovely capture. My wife does that too - she starts the day with switching on the Christmas trees until it's time to go out. I love the reflection on the wall clock in this shot.
It does make all the difference in the world, doesn't it? I too put the lights on at night to enjoy the colors and festive feeling they bring to the house. I'm not an early riser though so they're not on in the morning! Your tree looks very pretty and so glad to hear of your family's joy.
i am all about family too, and Christmastime is my favorite time of year. The family is all together, we play board games, we enjoy home made yummies, and have lots of laughs. I picture your family to be exactly the same way :) Lovely shot rick, the tree is gorgeous!
