Well, what can I say. I did my part. The French Lace Weigela are planted, and hopefully taking root. Today we had snow, but not near as much as some out in the Midwest. Along with this morning's snow came a fender bender. I drove the entire 45 minutes to work, no problems. I turn into a drop off spot under the roof to drop Josie off at the door, and as I made the turn into the sloping drive, I slide into the curb, and twisted the right front wheel assembly. Had to have the SUV towed. No idea what it is going to cost, but it has been a faithful friend, and even at 183,000 miles she is running quite well. I just might get her fixed rather than have a new car payment. I think she's good for another 50,000 or more at least. Josie has a stiff neck, but otherwise, nothing serious, just an insurance claim, and probably higher premiums.
Ah, Rick I am so sorry about the fender bender! Great shot of you spring time aspirations! i dreamed about you and your planting activities last night!
These plants have got nice shoots taking off so this is all good! Not so your vehicle - nothing you could have done but it would have been quite a steep slip to twist the wheel assembly!
So sorry to hear about the accident! Mine from last year still irritates me as I now have a car payment! I hope the snow helps your Weigela grow strong roots.
I love how you prettied up the two French Lace Weigela bushes.
winter is almost over and at the last moment you had this mishap.
it can happen..just glad that noone got seriously hurt. I hope your wife will feel better soon.
Ohhhhh- so sorry to hear about the car! You got more of the snow than we did- in fact we did not get any although quite a bit was predicted. Looks like the bushes will look lovely when they bloom.
I also looked up Hawk Mountain- it's 1 hour and 40 minutes west of me. If you're planning on a Saturday, it might be something that Jeff would come along too. So let me know. It looks like a really nice place. We also have a spot up here where eagles nest. It's not a wildlife reserve- it's just a spot along the Delaware where they are spotted quite frequently.
