I spotted this small group of wild turkeys on my way to work this morning, and fortunately there were no cars behind me so I could pull over and get a better shot of them. As you can see, two had their tails fanned out, the other two were quietly standing in the side lines. This is why I love the open country, and the drive.
That's what they look like!! My husband has been getting a hunting license for these and every year when he comes back and I tease him about the turkey's spotting the turkey. ;)
@talea It is true, when you are out hunting them, you never see them (the life of a hunter) but the past few years I have seen more wild turkeys than I have seen in my life time
So it's not just him then? I was having fun teasing him. (He's not allowed to bring it or anything else he hunts home though... so it works for me that the critters run and hide.)
