To walk your dogs on my property? I am almost certain that this was not that type of conversation going on, but her body language sure appears to be a bit confrontational, and he looks a little bit taken back by her approach as well in this photo. I actually know this lady, and this is her typical stance when she talks to you. The pups don't appear to be bothered at all.
It`s a bad habit..I do that sometimes and now seeing it I better remember not do it..although I find that stance very comfortable. I`m sure this is the case as well for this lady. great street shot, Rick.
Ha! This reminds me of my neighborhood, only the caption would be Did I Give You Permission to Take a Photo? My wary neighbors don't seem to understand my 365 project.
The head on one side and the arms akimbo is pure body language for confrontation! But as you say you know her, this is probably trying to establish her presence!
What an awesome capture, Rick. I LOVE this kind of shot where one captures people being people. There is a lady on our street that yelled at us for letting Little Bit walk on her lawn. Then she took to sitting out and making sure we were being good when we'd walk by. I made friends with her and now she is fine with our "sweet dogs" going anywhere they want. =) People!!!
Sometimes body language doesn't translate well. This could either be, "Scram!" or "Do tell!" I like the dogs showing much more interest in you than the conversation at hand.
