Resting On A Hillside

I was off today, so after I dropped the boys off for their haircut, I went driving around. I came across this old cemetery on a hillside.

Like any old cemetery the headstones lean & tilt & somehow looks much more of a friendly place than the uniform size & shape outlay of the modern ,newer cemetery !

It's a very plain cemetery! I wonder why there are no flowers - even if they are artificial?

@maggiemae The gate post looks like it was donate around 1802, so probably most descendants are no longer in the area. About the only flowers present are the wild ones that come up. They do not even trim around the headstones

Wow those are some old tombstones! Beautiful area for a cemetery tho!
