Oh What A Beaitful Day. Because of impending snow predictions in our forecast, I decided to make my journey into work last evening instead of facing the 45 minute commute in the morning. It had only begun snowing when I arrived at work last evening around 10pm. I ended up having staff meeting, talking to residents who were awake, and finally went to bed around 1:45am. I didn't sleep well so then ended up getting up around 5am, bathed, dressed, and had some breakfast and then got busy with my daily tasks. We began serving breakfast, and I enjoyed chatting with residnets and joking with staff trying to make the best out of a snowy day outside. At about 9am I was feeling a bit antsy and needed to get some fresh air so I went out, cleaned off my car and went for a drive to see how bad it was. The plows were out trying to stay ahead of the rapid accumulation of fresh snow. At this time we had about 6 inches, and the plows were doing a nice job keeping the streets clean, but till the day was done we were told to expect an accumulation of about 14 inches. Sorry for the spots on the photo, but that was snow and dirt on my windshield. The snow blowing was a familiar sight today. We will see if the weatherman is accurate.
This is so cool. Is that guy on the sidewalk running a snow blower/clearning machine? You are so dedicated! You went in to work at night? Just to avoid the morning commute? Bless you! Here in the south, we equate snow with staying home and vegging out. So it would be SO hard for me to work when I see snow. Forty-eight years of Pavlovian conditioning would be hard to buck. How did you process this? Some HDR?
I think this captures your day perfectly, spots and all. We only got about 8 to 10 inches, but it sure was beautiful. Apparently more snow is on the way for us...weirdest winter ever for my area.
