I thought I would post a few photos to keep you all updated. I received several e-mails over the past week or so from some dear 365 friends wondering if I was ok. I have been absent for almost a month and it was so heartwarming to receive your e-mails. I am fine, all is well. Life has been extremely busy at work. During the past year or more we have been preparing to make a huge shift in our computer software and record keeping. The undertaking has required a lot of extra time, training and teaching, and I am playing a part in the teaching. Beginning in January we will be doing 8 weeks of training. Then at home Josie and I continue to tend our little Miss Scarlett while Mommy works, and she requires attention. Grandpa has been spoiling her and she has learned to demand my undivided attention. So all in all I had to take a break from 365 for awhile. I apologize for not being able to post and comment, but perhaps after the New Year I will be able to devote a "little" more time to 365. We shall see.
I know the feeling Rick, when life takes over and leaves little time for our hobbies. Nice to see you and your little granddaughter here. Merry Christmas!
What a precious little lamb! You look every bit the doting and proud Papa to this little grandbaby! While I should have noticed the absence of friends like you here on 365, I've been too busy, too to do much more than get some of my photos uploaded. I think we all look forward to some down time after the first of the year, though I wouldn't trade away a day of the busy 6 months we had in Lunenburg! Merry Christmas to you and the family, Rick!
I, too, was a bit worried, Rick, even though you had prepared us for it. I can understand what a lot of time is needed to take care of little ones while their parents are at work. I have been going through that for the last 5 or 6 years, either one or the other of our grandkids. This besides taking them to school and collecting them after, ect. Now is the time to enjoy the family. Hope to see you often. Scarlett looks gorgeous and pleased in grandpa's arms. Well taken.
Scarlett is adorable and if I had the blessing of grandkids nearby and choosing time with them or time with 365, I know I'd make a similar choice as you have. You are definitely missed and you've also been in my prayers (that everything was ok!) but I can see from this shot that you are enjoying the role of "the spoiler". I hope the transition at work goes as smoothly as possible and (selfishly) that you'll find some time in between work and grandparenting for a little 365. Blessings to you and the family at Christmas!
I totally understand! I have tried unsuccessfully to make a comeback three different times since I started back to work in September. I am trying desperately to find a balance, as I miss 365 and photography in general. Miss Scarlett is absolutely adorable! Enjoy her!
