We downsized to a smaller tree this year. It only took me two years to grow tired of lugging the 9ft tree up from the storage area. This one is much more manageable.
Lovely tree and nicely decorated. All our decorations are up now with Christmas trees and Baby Jesus in every corner of the house. It's Christine's hobby and she will not let anyone touch a light or a bauble from where she has placed them.
When we started traveling to Florida for Christmas. we gave all our decorations to the kids and declared ourselves a no-decoration zone. Much less stress at clean-up time!
Since we've been traveling at Christmas I haven't put up a tree but I really miss them and all the ornaments I've collected. I'd have a hard time switching to an artificial tree but it has become more and more attractive since I'm the only one in my family that really cares about having one at all!
Rick, it's a lovely tree and I can see your point for having a smaller one. I hope you don't mind that I replied to Ann on your page. please read my comment to her if you have the time. @olivetreeann You know Ann, we tried a tall and a smaller artificial tree over the years. gave both away. when you grew up with a real spruce tree, it's not easy to switch over, especially with having real candles in the tree. so I guess a trip to the tree farm is coming up soon.
