Hello, Rick. A long time since I've seen you on 365. Everything ok here but we have been on lockdown for the last 7 weeks and it is somewhat frustrating that you cannot go out but we are coping. I hope everything is ok with you too. I like your b&w capture. The guy looks good at skateboarding. Never done it and never will now.
Aaw, it's one of the sports I picked up when I was younger and much less likely to fall off something and break a bone. But when I was 11 years old, I asked my older brother to teach me to skateboard - well, he gave me his old board and told me 'it's all up here' and tapped the side of his head and walked off... yeah that wasn't going to help me much - but it did! Because he was right. It is all in your head, balance and reaction.
I ended up skateboarding for around 10 years - and loving it! I don't skate anymore, but enjoy watching other skaters, and surfers (as it's similar but on water) as it's just something I used to do.
And the guy in your photo is a natural - his left foot is forward. I'm a goofy-step, where I put my right foot forward.
Last post? We're doing okay, but miss our regular contacts, both locally and family far away. Our granddaughter (2½) continues to grow and we are soon going to break my wife's "60-day rule" for holding-and-hugging our little munchkin in Boston. When rules relax enough — according to public health experts — we will make the 2-day drive out east, stopping in her mom's in Ohio as a stop-along-the-way to avoid hotels & restaurants and airports & aircraft. Until then we, too, are on a tight out-and-about routine. Hang in there, baby!!
@rhoing No, it has just been awhile for me. This is my last year of working so I am hoping after I retire in February I will be able to get back into the swing of things here on 365.
